So I kind of did not manage to finish reading Flight of the Eisenstein before and the thought of bringing 3 (Technically 5) books along with me for the next 10 days seemed kind of stupid but then I did it anyway and did not care about anything else. It seems right, but the burden is on myself (Being really abstract here) so I shouldn’t really care. Tada (Capt. Obv. is obv.)

Feng Yun II was weird. Made an impromptu decision today after gym-ing with the guys to watch it. The story was wtf at the very least and the ending was……. Another 10 years it seems.

I have filled my “Do good stuff to make myself do random stuff without thinking twice” cup a little today, so I am more or less bought myself some degree of liberty to do random stuff overseas.

Land of the Rising Sun, and apparently without many castles, mountains, or statues.

Got myself Tropico 3 today after seeing it priced at like 15 dollars below what I saw elsewhere. Pretty sure it was a pricing error after seeing the person’s face but meh, once the goods are changed I am not turning back. So I have it now, and I can’t play it till I am back, or after I finish all my holiday work. I did not think this through

My reading schedule has been totally screwed up. I kinda have to finish Flight of the Eisenstein in 2 days without compromising my gaming habits. Plan was to finish up the Horus Heresy Books that I have with me right now before going into the Ultramarines later on. So I kinda stopped reading for awhile with all that’s going on, even forgot to bring my book along for a 40 minute bus ride…. Gonna have to speed up or spend more time then.

This really led me to realise that I really do not have that much time left to spend on the holiday assignments, I should start soon but something keeps telling me that I should start later. You know, as a form of warm-up right before the block test, refreshing all the random fundamentals, since I am sure as hell not going to find my old tutorials ’cause they are kind of missing. And additional practices would actually mean additional effort which goes against my minimalistic approach to everything

Yesterday.

Mulan was shite. Has to be the most depressing version of the story that I have ever seen, read or heard. Almost everyone who’s close to the lead dies. One of the longer Chinese movies I have seen in longer times, halfway through I was wondering if a live action version of the Disney movie would have been much more interesting, not to mention totally retarded (see: awesome again). What’s up with lining your shield with fur…..?

Of course, dinner after with the gang was the highlight with all the random bullshit, jokes and catch-up. The usual of course. Routine as it was, it never grows old.

Night markets have seriously lost all its appeal. All I do now when one pops up nearby or at the bus-stop is to quickly locate all the stores selling Ramly burgers and try to eat one from each store before the whole thing relocates. Sure they might taste the same but it really passes the time quickly when you go buy one everytime you get hungry. One of life’s little mini-games. Fun ‘innit. And seriously fattening

After playing the Tropico 3 demo for a while, I suddenly have this want to play all them city-building games, which I do not really have except for my really really old copy of SimCity3000 and Tropico 1. So I pretty much reinstalled Galactic Civilizations II and it’s expansion packs an Civilizations IV. Yeah….

Judo training started again after dunno how many months. Well not really since the next training’s gonna be weeks away……….. I fear getting wtfpwned by juniors next year. Really.

Time spent with Marists (+1 random YJC) really cannot be compared with anything else, uninhibited by our surroundings, the most inane stuff can brew and random crap can be thrown around like nobody’s business. And this is why I hate buying and skipping over some chapters or volumes in a series. Now I am left with staring at them, not knowing if I should just read ahead or pay a little more to get the volume in between. Kinda burning through them kinda fast so I am really starting to think whether it was a good idea not to have rushed and bought them all at one go.

I kinda just realised the scale that is the workload caused by the holiday assignments (needs rephrasing). I have been illuminated by the fact that Physics tutorial has like 22 pages…….. I predict desperate last minute chiong-ing that is going to be more intense than ever attempted before. It will be interesting and every attempt at lessening eyebags will be negated by the last week.

Caught myself dreaming again, though I am not really sure what sort of dream it was. Remember it pretty clearly and I had some sort of ability to manipulate it, so I supposed that I could have been daydreaming instead but meh. Came away from it with the conclusion that immortality might not be all that jacked up as it may seem.

Scenario: Caught in standard time with an unseen voice booming in the background, similarly sounding to the Halo announcer that goes “Slayer“. He/she/it goes ‘You are now immortal, do as you may‘. Didn’t really question it, nor the realism factor, since waking up would totally ruin this chance to figure things out. By immortality, it was to be Eternal Youth, Age into a wizened man or Eternal Youth + Undying. Chose the last one of course.

So I was thrown into an urban city with a stopwatch in my pocket that allowed me to jump forward in time. So I am sort of chilling out with my friends, time moves inexplicably fast here as I seem them ageing visibly. They hunch over and they mobility is hampered. Eventually they all die. Everyone. Can’t make new acquaintances as everything seems so foreign and I am an oddity in future times it seems.

Worst off. Undying. I can’t kill myself. So this was pretty far into the future but, everyone actually sort of evolved into something else while I remained human. It totally sucked.

Really shortened everything down. Long story short, immortality is really worth it if you are able to pass on your immortality to the people you know and love instead of living your days as a lonely wanderer with no attachments to anything, or anyone. If not, what are we really living for? With that much time, you master everything and then some. More than we could ever hope to use, then you grow bored of everything. The sense of something new is dulled and everything is “been there done that”.

Oh and my monitor is now huge.

Maybe I have judged wrongly. Maybe I should at least give Twilight a try. Seriously. After reading this WHY BREAKING DAWN MUST BE MADE INTO A MOVIE. The 4th books sounds totally insane! Dramatized as a description may be, it seems like that one will be some uber gore fest with nonsensical text that would be awesome when translated to the big screen.

Boredom has led to me searching the net for animal fights. Giant Centipede vs Snakes, Scorpion vs Beetle, etc. I will do anything not to touch that pile of holiday assignments sitting on my desk.

I don’t know why but Assassin’s Creed II seems really boring right now, I am basically doing the same thing over and over again and the game’s giving me quite the headache. I think I kind of ruined it by playing with it for too long the day I got it. First time a sort of hot release has bummed me out so early though, at least I have MW2 to fall back on.

If you have not yet heard, New Moon just beat The Dark Knight in terms of the amount grossed on its opening day. What the hell is the world coming to? There has to be some subliminal message in the books and trailers that enthrall the mindless legions of fans to go watch a movie that is actually totally demeaning and against feminist movements. Seriously.

School was rather pointless today. Totally didn’t know that GP lecture/tutorial started at 8 and I wandered around school, wandering where my class was for a while. Did not come away with anything from the Econs lecture, more concerned and restless ’cause of the air-con not working. Yeah…

Don’t know if it’s just me but proper spelling and grammar is actually a very big thing. Most likely because of my serious case of short-term memory loss, which makes me review everything I type or write every few seconds when, and this happens quite often, I lose myself when in the middle of writing something.

Found out something about me today that made me chuckle a little. Text-ing in Singlish is a great way to make a conversation informal and casual yet I find myself correcting my Singlish grammar. Not a student of the Coxford dictionary so I half-base it on the English grammar. Stuff like lagi worse instead of lagi worst.  Still don’t know which one is correct but it just feels… wrong to leave it at that.

I really wanted to post that video of actual bears playing ice hockey but it saddens me so much. Not that the bears are forced into doing cheap theatrics but due to the fact that I know those bears can ice-skate better than I ever will.

Wiki-ing some stuff and I noticed a habit of mine. On opening a page, I zipline towards “Powers and Abilities” of figures, fictional or not. I actually did this when I Wiki Drifted to the Pope.
